Tillandsia lives off of the humidity in its environment. It is a strong plant that generally requires less care than most other house plants, but proper care is essential for a beautiful plant. Therefore, place the Tillandsia in a light and bright environment, but not in full sun. They like to be watered twice a week with (rain) water.
Soaking method
Tillandsias like a light and bright environment, but do not like full sun. They like to be watered twice a week with (rain) water. To make your air plants shine at their best, immerse them once a month in a tub of (tap) water. During this immersion session, the air plants suck themselves full of water. This ensures optimal lifespan of your air plants.
To stimulate vitality, it is recommended to also spray with the Tillandsia Care Spray.
Step 1
fill a tub with water
Use lukewarm water, preferably rainwater.
Step 2
Immerse the air plants
Bathe them in water for 30-40 minutes. Remove the plants from the water and gently shake the water off the plants.
Step 3
drying
Make sure that no water remains between the leaves of the plants. Allow them to dry up completely.
